Dordrecht-February 10: The 16th wonderful year of the Stichting Filipino-Dutch Community Drechtsteden (FDCD) Valentine’s party was held last Saturday, February 10 in Wantij Paviljoen, Dordrecht. Our annual event has become more exciting & merrier every year according to overwhelming comments and feedback from our guests & patrons.

Those guests or party enthusiasts whom we met for the first time when we started to hold this party in February 2003, still patronize our activity. Many of them even become regular attendees. Every year there are also new faces who come to the party which increases our number of attendees.

Last Saturday’s shindig was a big surprise! Holding our Valentine’s party in a new venue was very exciting. We didn’t have high expectations and yet it turned out much better than we hoped for.

The number of guests rose up to about 250. Everybody enjoyed the party with lots of surprises, new perks, games & even audience participation. Guests were happy, organizers were grateful. To sum it up, it was another successful event.

We are very thankful for this outcome because the proceeds will be used to further finance & sustain our local Filipino church community which is continuing to serve its members & newcomers.

We owe this huge success to our regular patrons, friends, sponsors, donors & guests who have supported us all these years because they truly believe in our cause. Thank you very much. Mabuhay!
