Presentation of the Dutch translation of ‘Noli me tangere’

 ‘Noli me tangere’, the famous novel by José Rizal, was recently published in a Dutch translation, titled ‘Raak me niet aan!’ (Touch me not).

The book was presented during the celebrations of José Rizal’s birthday on June 19 in Brussels, Belgium, and the commemoration of the Philippine Declaration of Independence on June 20 in The Hague, the Netherlands.

In ‘Noli me tangere’ José Rizal wrote about the cruel oppression during colonial times in the Philippines. But he also presented his thoughts and ideals about freedom and equality, written in his own, unique style.

Thoughts that deserve to be read by new generations, also in Dutch.
