Team Crossover Canada gears up for the spirit of Christmas with its Maligayang PASapatos Shoes Drive KO Project

With the BER months at hand, leaves and temperature falling, Christmas is just around the corner. The joy and spirit of sharing is amongst us and so as with Team Crossover Canada who are now in high gears practicing for the upcoming SM NBTC National High School Championships in the Philippines on March 18-25 2019.

It will be the fourth year where Canada has been invited in this prestigious basketball event that resulted to athletic scholarships granted to most of its players, James Canlas (San Beda) and Matthew Daves (Ateneo) to name a few.

In return Crossover Canada in partnership with NBTC, FBL Canada, LBC and Bicol Canada is having Maligayang PASapatos Shoes Drive KO to help provided shoes to less fortunate basketball players in remote regions in the Philippines. Coach Mike who initiated the project last year with a school from Nueva Vizcaya as its benefactor coordinated with NBTC head Coach Eric to have the distribution on a wider scale. NBTC with its regional qualification starting will be identifying and help deliver to the school team or individual benefactors for this year. Old and new shoes are now being collected in partnership with Bicol Canada of Atty. Earl Francis Dacara and local Filipino stores through LBC boxes until December 2018. All shoes donated and collected will be shipped through the courtesy of LBC headed by Mr. Raffy Policarpio.

They would like to reach out to our basketball community to help share the spirit of Christmas by donating a pair of your old or new shoes. You may bring your shoes to local Filipino stores where LBC boxes will be available as drop off. You may also directly contact Coach M (4167958985), Atty. Earl Francis Dacara (6473023508) and LBC offices for your shoes donation. In behalf of all partners of this project Crossover Sports Canada would like to thank all.
