For years without a break, the iconic Fiesta becomes a palpable venue for showcasing the Filipino culture and colourful traditions to the Australian multi-cultural society; an annual reunions for families, relatives and friends; as well as a great opportunity for trade and business ventures.
This year’s theme DALAWANG BANSA ISANG DIWA (TWO NATIONS, ONE SPIRIT), enunciates the recognition of migrant Filipinos’ blessings afforded by the two countries closest to their hearts, minds and souls: The Philippines and Australia (The Philippines, their country of origin that gifted them of their vibrant culture, history and traditions. Australia, that welcomes them and offers them with wider opportunities, health, education and economic stability).
This forthcoming Philippine Fiesta hopes for more attendance and cooperation among Filipino-Australian communities and other multi-cultural groups not only in Victoria but also in other states of Australia.
