First Event of the 150th Anniversary of Rizal Reform or Revolution, the book
By Sir Carlos Arnaldo, KGOR, supreme archivist with Sir Bernard Pot, KCR, deputy regional commander
Wed 23rd February 2011

Paris, February 23, 2011--The Knights of Rizal, the French Philippine Cultural Association and the Philippine Embassy in Paris will present the newly published book of Dr Hélčne Goujat at the Philippine Embassy on March 5.  This work is the product of her thesis and the title says it exceedingly well: Réforme ou révolution? Le projet national de José Rizal (1861-1896) pour les Philippines (Reform or Revolution? Jose Rizal’s National project (1861 – 1896) for the Philippines). This book launching thus marks the first event of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the birth of Rizal.

Also present will be Mr. Olivier Petot, Director of the Connaissances & Savoirs Editions and Messrs. Pierre Le Roux and Bernard Sellato, Directors of Sources d’Asie collection, both specialized publishing houses.
‘Spider and Lizard’ to the rescue!
By Sir Carlos Arnaldo, KGOR, Supreme Archivist
Tue 22nd February 2011

Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, February 19, 2011-- Formerly Camp Murphy in the days when Project 4 was cogon grass, Camp Aguinaldo today is a sprawling campus including a golf course among the residences and administrative buildings. At AFRESCOM, the Armed Forces of the Philippines Reserve Command, the inner buildings have two walls 40 feet high. One is bare (no footholds!) with markings every ten feet, the other is sculpted like the profile of an alpine summit. These form the Rapelling Tower for rescue training.
