Samahang Pilipino sa Holland (SPH) launches it’s first smashing Valentines Party 2018 !!!!

The day of the heart celebration is always the first party of the year.

This year, it was held last February 10 at the Businessclub FC in Dordrecht.  The same Valentines party venue for many years.  Friends, supporters and party goers know exactly what to expect. In the same way they know that Annabelle Verweerd, is all smiles to greet them at the entrance.


The cold winter months kept everyone in their nests, and now we are ready to swing and sway. It is a time to have fun and unwind, enjoy the evening with friends far and near and meet new people. We always look forward to this yearly event, it became a tradition we gladly love to take part of and support.

Organized by ‘Samahang Pilipino sa Holland’ (United Filipinos in Holland), the beautifully decorated party center was full of energetic guests.  Annabella Verweerd introduced her new organization SPH and it’s officers. A new vigorous team, new brilliant ideas, full of enthusiasm, and with a very strong determination to reach their humanitarian goal.  Tonight, they launch their first party!



With the stomping music played by Asian Beat, guests were already half dancing even before they reached their tables and took their jackets off. Everybody knew it’s going to be a great evening again.



Alluring ladies and ravishing men filled the entire Businessclub party hall. The huge dancefloor was all of a sudden too small to accommodate the dancers at the same time. Everybody was sweating it out, jumping, stomping, and moving to the rhythm of the music. It was just astonishing.  Everybodys mind is set into one thing - rock the tent all night long!



 Love is what this beautiful evening is all about. This four letter word , L O V E , is  fundly tossed around, yet never fully understood.  What is love? Sharing and enjoying  the night together with families and friends is love.  It is so amazing to see an antire family attending the SPH Valentines party. Attendees is from all generations- the whole family showing utmost love and affection to each other. A loving father dancing with his beloved daughter, and how her eyes sparkle with joy. A young mother proudly swinging with her little boy, full of happiness . That is love…. And it is priceless.





Top excitement of the festivity was the announcement the ‘Mr. and Miss Valentines 2018’. Judges spent the entire evening looking around and choosing the best lady and gentleman wearing a red attire or something red in it. Beauty, creativity and elegance are the criterias. Since everybody is looking gorgeous, the task of choosing the winners among the crowd is one difficult undertaking given to the judges.



A new organization in the Netherlands,  the name ‘Samahang Pilipino sa Holland’ speaks volume. It aspires unity among Filipinos in the Netherlands. Formed for a good cause, proceeds of the evenings’  festivity will be used to help the Sto. Nino Elementary School in Sablayan Mindoro, Philippines.



Congratulations SPH team for a smashingly successful Valentines Party!!!!!  Considering that this is your initial event, it is truly a great accomplishment. Keep up the good work.

Samahang Pilipino sa Holland will see action next year…February 9, 2019.
