Durham Crossover Basketball-Canada CHEERS on Its 3RD YEAR

Durham Crossover Basketball culminated its season with a celebration of its 3rd Anniversary and Annual Christmas Party last December 17 at the West Grove Community Center in Pickering, Ontario. DCB parents, players and guests were welcomed by DCB Program Director Michael Cruz. He thanked everyone for their continued support and trust for the organization.

During the celebration, DCB recognized and provided awards to deserving players who have excelled and contributed to the success of the organization. Gabriel Lopez was awarded DCB Baller of the Year, Jerone Castronuevo - Rookie of the Year, Basti Villena - Most Improved, Vincent Jabonete - Defensive Player of the Year, and Imory Tres Bisarra Jr. - Sportsmanship Award. Also recognized was the Crossover House Champion Team headed by Coach Bogs Pascual and its members: Sheen Yusay, David Lopez, Nathan Sales, Zoren Pascual, Jose Luna, Mhiley Cruz, Zoran Rubio, Adriel Delos Reyes, Mark Carbonel, Kyle Navarette and Wendell Abara. Sheen Yusay won the MVP Award.

Upcoming recording artist Elle Renee graced the event and mesmerized the crowd with her own rendition of Etta James song 'At Last' and 'Someone Got a Hold on Me'.

DCB, a not for profit basketball organization, is mandated to promote active and healthy living through the sport of basketball. Its program includes the Steve Nash Youth Basketball partnered with Canada Basketball, Team Play Skills, Advance Elite Skills and House League. Its Rep Player Program enables its players to join local tournaments in the GTA, including the new and upcoming Filipino Basketball League. It also works with Crossover Sports Canada to help represent Canada at the SM NBTC National High School Championship in Manila, Philippines.
