Mga kasuotang gawang Pinoy inirampa sa RCA

RIYADH: Isang pambihirang oportunidad para sa mga Pinoy designers sa Kaharian ang gabi ng ika-4 ng Nobyembre kung saan sila’y nagkaroon ng pagkakataon na maipakita ang kanilang mga obra maestra sa larangan ng fashion designing sa pamamagitan ng isang fashion runway show na inorganisa ng Riyadh Creative Artists Fashion Photography (RCA) bilang selebrasyon sa ikatlong taong anibersaryo ng kanilang grupo, dito.


Kabilang sa mga Pinoy designers na nakibahagi at nagpamalas ng kanilang angking galing sa nabanggit na larangan ay sina Emil Besitulo, Erwin Aradilla at Ryan Capara na nagmula pa sa eastern region (Al khobar/Dammam) at Tj Boo, Rodolfo Pablo/Fred Deladia (R&K) at Willie Teoxon na mula naman sa Riyadh.

Fall-winter collections ang naging tema ng palabas kung saan ang anim na nabanggit ay nagkaroon ng isang pagkakataon na maipakita ang kanilang mga obra sa harap ng humigi’t kumulang na 250 katao na dumalo sa pagtitipon na kinabilangan ng mga Pinoy at mga ibang lahi.

21 mga Pinoy models ang rumampa sa entablado suot ang mg magagarang kasuotan gawa ng anim na mga designers na binuo nina Alfredo Bascones, Jr., Bokee Mateo Payaoan, Char James Mendoza, Francis Noces, Jaypee Villagracia, Jerald De Vera, John Derick Carilaga, Jones Rosal, Kenneth Olay Cunanan, Mark Brian Gatdula, Tom Francis Pega, Aira Tanedo, Anne Tiongson, Cherry Ann Del Pilar, Elma Villanueva, Jae Anne Mamangun, Jho Manabat, Kaycee Macuha, Mariel Comia, Odessa Paje, Ronalie Reyes at Yen Druja. Agaw-atensyon din ang pagrampa ng pinakabatang modelo na si Doutzen Macuha-Villagracia suot ang gawa ni Tj Boo.

Bukod sa nasabing fashion show, itinuring din ang gabing iyong na gabi ng talentong Pinoy dahil sa mga world-class performances ng mga local artist sa Riyadh. Kabilang sa mga nagpamalas ng  kanilang galing sa pag-awit ay sina Ryan Allas Gonzaga, Vianca Marie Cabigting, Wahid Jaffar, Mark Gil Moraga, Norman Castillo at Laverna Macuha-Villagracia.

Dalawa naman sa kilalang grupo ng mga mananayaw sa Riyadh – Dance Connexion at BYB Dance Crew ay hindi nagpadaig sa pagpapakitang-gilas sa kani-kanilang mga killer dance moves. Ang programa na tumakbo ng halos tatlong oras ay pinasimunuan naman ni Ryan Comandante.

Ang RCA Fashion Runway Show 2016 ay isang malaking tagumpay dahil sa walang-sawang tulong at suporta ng mga institusyon at grupo ng Enjaz Banking Services, Philippine Airlines (PAL), Virgin Mobile, Wadge Shots Photography at Irene’s Closet. At siyempre, sa liderato nina Norman Cunanan (outgoing President) at ng incoming President na si Marlon Vicente kasama ang buong pamunuan ng RCA.
