International Day of Peace in NYC

By Evelyn A. Opilas
New York City
October 22, 2016

How propitious that on the day the United Nations marked International Day of Peace 21 Sept, we would be in New York City not just exploring what was on offer at Times Square but also getting an overview of the city that never sleeps from our Hop On, Hop Off bus commentator.

Our HoHo bus was to have completed its run at the UN Plaza but for some reason, the access to the UN seemed to have been blocked off that day. So much for waving the Peace flags within the UN precinct.

Next best thing was to show our shared aims for peace by waving the Peace flags at Times Square after enjoying the fabulous ‘An American in Paris’.
