MAMA SITA DONATES COOKBOOKS AND COMMEMORATIVE STAMPS TO THE NATIONAL LIBRARY OF VIETNAM AND VIETNAM POST

In a simple turn over ceremony, Ms. Kieu Thuy Nga, Director of the National Library of Vietnam shared that they are very pleased to receive the donation. She also noted that this is the first time that an organization from the Philippines has donated something to the Library.
Vietnam Post’s Deputy General Manager, Mr. Chu Quang Hao received the Mama Sita’s commemorative stamps with a hope of possible joint activities between the Philippines and Vietnam Post in the future.
Mrs. Reyes-Lapus also donated cookbooks to the Sentro Rizal Library of the Philippine Embassy.
The donation coincided with the Filipino Food Festival held at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel wherein Mama Sita’s was one of the sponsors. The Filipino Food Festival was organized to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Thank you for featuring Mama Sita s stamps and cookbook donations in Vietnam. It was nice to know that they welcome this cultural exchange. I was surprised to meet a Vietnamese who wants to open a Filipino restaurant in Hanoi even if there are only 400 Filipinos living there.

There was an equal representation of the sexes. The women clapped cheerfully. The men could only smile, while a few shook their heads disapprovingly....
