A lovely woman, caring and affectionate wife, Rita Roche Komen was feted with a very warm birthday celebration held last April 23, 2016 with a dinner dance at Macarthur Grange Country Club, Kearns.

Friends of the celebrant gave her a celebrated this milestone with a mini concert hosted by Charles Chan, with songs and dancing throughout the evening.  Brian Lorenz serenaded the birthday girl and her guests with songs like “A Prayer,” “Ikaw,” “Love Boat” to name a few. Cleo Baltazar and Ester Arador also rendered song numbers to the delight of the crowd, while the Filipinas Dance Group performed a Filipiniana number.

Close friends and relatives gave a tribute to Rita, mentioning all her wonderful traits and achievements.  Notable is a speech by Ana Carmichael, who stated that Rita is a loving person who puts others’ welfare first before hers.  A cancer survivor, Rita is a religious woman and does charitable work in the community.
