The Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF) Miss Philippines Canada 2015, Nathalie Ramos; Miss Teen Philippines Canada 2015, Ansha Hipolito; Miss Philippines Canada runner-up, Monarie Ocray; and Little Miss Philippines Canada's Jasmin Flores, Kaila Ventura, Alyssa Nicole Ong, Kayla Esquejo, Anjali Pathmanathan, Leann Pablo & Reign Ventura, were proud to have showcased their talents and gained many friends during the Multi-Cultural segment of the first Tamil Street Fest held at the Morningside Heights in Toronto, the area which had the highest concentration of Tamils in Canada.

The event aimed to introduce the Tamil community and its culture to the Greater Toronto's mainstream. Organizers, the Canadian Tamil Congress, estimated attendance to the event held August 22-23, 2015, to be about 90,000. Canada’s Tamil commmunity, most coming from Sri Lanka during the island’s decades of civil war, grew in half a century to around 300,000, of which about 240,000 live within Greater Toronto. (****Fe Taduran***)
