PHL EMBASSY IN BEIRUT ATTENDS 3RD ANNIVERSARY OF SAMAHANG MANGGAGAWANG BABAE


 
 


02 October 2014 – The Samahang Manggagawang Babae (SMB) celebrated its third anniversary on September 14 with a simple gathering attended by Philippine Embassy officials as well as representatives from the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the National Federation of Trade Unions of Workers and Employees of Lebanon (FENASOL). The celebration was held at the St. Francis Church in Hamra, Beirut.




PHL EMBASSY IN BEIRUT ATTENDS 15TH ANNIVERSARY OF COUPLES FOR CHRIST LEBANON


02 October 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Lebanon Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz led Philippine Embassy officers and staff in attending the 15th Anniversary celebration of the Couples for Christ (CFC) Lebanon on September 14, at the Sports Field of the Notre Dame De Jamhour School.

In her message, Ambassador Ruiz commended the CFC for its activities aimed at building spiritual growth, harmony and cooperation among its members.  She also urged the CFC Lebanon to support Embassy activities and to encourage Filipinos in Lebanon to register for the May 2016 Philippine national elections.

The CFC’s annual sports festival featured a cheering competition, track event, ball games and bible quiz.  A holy mass offered for the anniversary celebration was held early in the day at the St. Joseph Church in Tabaris, Achrafieh in Beirut, where the CFC is based.
